Flapping-Wing UAV

We are developing flapping-wing unmanned air vehicles with high manoeuvring capabilities. The photo shows a first version of a flapping wing UAV. The project is performed in collaboration with Flygildi ehf.

SUMO

Small Unmanned Meteorological Observer (SUMO) aircraft are intended to collect weather measurements (temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed) for accurate local weather forecasting. This project is done in collaboration with Reiknistofa í Veðurfræði.

Quadcopters

We recently started working on quadcopters. This is the first one we have experimented with. Currently, it's capable of altitude control.

Autonomous Underwater Vehicles

Currently, we are collaborating with Teledyne-Gavia ehf on developing various technology for underwater vehicles. We are also collaborating with Prof. Gunnar Stefánsson at the University of Iceland regarding a camera module for the Gavia AUV.
